The new year is here! The International Student Club arranged some exciting and fun events for the 2020 Winter International Short Term Programs. One of our most popular events, “A Night To Remember”, was a successful event where our club members could mingle with university students from South Korea. The event featured a mix of party games, karaoke, and delicious food. It gave our new friends from the short term program dazzling entertainment and exciting opportunities to win prizes and practice their English.
The night started off with a warm, energetic atmosphere as the students mingled, rolled through some brief introductions. Then we decided to spice things up by throwing some interactive team bonding games into the mix that would get everyone’s heart rates pumping and ready to sing their hearts out. Once again, the games determined what teams got to be first in line to the mouth-watering food provided, however, we wanted to keep the vibe comfortable with a bit of friendly competition. There was so much food to go around, everyone could get thirds! With the event still hot on its roll, we fired up the speakers and turned down the lights just in time for some karaoke! With the added touch of the strobe lights, it surely lived up to a night worth remembering.
We always set our goals to keep it fun, safe, and comfortable for all our students and exchange students. Hosting karaoke night is always a great bonding activity as well as an energizer to keep everyone optimistic for future events. Everyone did a great job and we are ecstatic to have met so many awesome people that night.
