To kick off the fourth week of the Fall 2019 semester, the University of Hawai‘i–West O‘ahu had its Community & Club Involvement Fair this past Tuesday in the Campus Plaza where students could check out various clubs and organizations. Our ISC booth was stationed in front of the Nāulu Center handing out free pins & stickers and selling fresh boba tea for $4 each. The drink came in two flavors: signature milk tea and lychee milk tea topped with chewy tapioca pearls. Yum!
Even though preparation alone took two hours (no tea spilt here), all that hard work paid off as we were able to fundraise money for upcoming activities.
Overall, the fair had a successful turnout and we were very happy to see new faces coming over to chat and express their interest in the club. We hope you all had as much fun as we did! Mahalo to the Nāulu center staff for letting us utilize their kitchen, UHWO Student Life for the opportunity, and everyone who stopped by our booth! It’s important for clubs & organizations to get exposure so that students can be more aware and seize the opportunity to enhance their college experience through participation. You never know how great something will be until you try it!
